Domain Starter Free is a free starter environment provided for eligible domains as described on the product page and in the Custom Client Area.
It is not covered by the 100-day money-back guarantee, as there is no hosting charge to refund.
Eligibility may depend on having an active domain with Domain Market. Expiry, cancellation or transfer of the domain may result in the free service ending after the applicable retention period.
Each active customer may use up to five (5) active Domain Starter Free packages in total. Terminated packages do not count towards this limit.
Available resources and features, such as storage, databases, email, SSL, the WordPress installer or AI Assistant, are those shown on the product page and in the Custom Client Area.
The service is intended for basic use, not heavy workloads, large-scale e-commerce, bulk email or sustained high resource consumption.
Fair-use rules apply. Spam, abuse, malware or excessive consumption that affects the infrastructure may lead to restrictions or suspension.
Users must keep independent backups of critical data. Domain Market may change features or replace or discontinue the free service, giving reasonable notice where practicable.
Users may upgrade to an available paid plan, in which case the new plan’s specific terms apply.
The existing Free Web Hosting service provided through cPanel will be discontinued on 31/10/2026. Domain Market will migrate existing accounts on this free service to the Domain Starter Free plan, managed through Aegean Panel, by 30/10/2026. Following migration, the Domain Starter Free service terms will apply. This change applies only to Free Web Hosting on cPanel, not to paid hosting plans.
The Customer must ensure that any software they install in their hosting accounts, including applications, content management systems (CMS), plugins, themes and custom code, is compatible with the software environment, available features and versions supported by their chosen plan on Domain Market’s servers. The Customer must check compatibility before installing or upgrading their software and maintain that compatibility throughout their use of the service.
If the nameservers of the domain linked to Domain Starter Free are changed to nameservers other than those designated for the plan, the free service will be terminated without prior notice within 24 hours of the change. This termination applies only to the Domain Starter Free hosting plan, not to the domain registration.
Backup policy by platform and account suspension
Where a hosting plan includes a backup service, the following policy applies according to the platform on which the service is provided, as identified in the Order or the customer's management interface.
Aegean Panel: four (4) backup runs are scheduled daily, with a rolling retention period of thirty (30) days. Backup times depend on the hosting server and are expressed in Greece's local time.
cPanel: one (1) full account backup is scheduled each night, together with one (1) additional backup of all the account's databases at midday. These backups have a rolling retention period of fourteen (14) days. The midday backup covers databases and is not a second full account backup.
For hosting provided through cPanel, the four (4) most recent backups taken at fifteen-day intervals are also retained at a storage location separate from that used for the daily backups described above.
Retention is rolling: backups exceeding the applicable period or the specified number of retained copies are removed according to the applicable policy. The full history builds up gradually after the service is activated or the retention period is increased. Available restore points correspond to successfully created backups and the content covered by each backup.
Account suspension: no new backups are created while an account is suspended. This rule applies to both Aegean Panel and cPanel and covers all the backups described above, including copies at the second storage location. Suspension does not extend the retention of existing backups; they remain subject to the applicable retention and deletion cycle.
If reactivation of the account is permitted and takes place, scheduled backups resume without retrospectively covering the period of suspension. Section 15 of the General Terms applies to restoration, the customer's obligation to maintain independent backups and Domain Market's corresponding obligations.
Prohibition on newsletters and advertising emails — indefinite suspension
Using any Domain Market plan or service, whether free or paid, to send newsletters, advertising emails or promotional emails is expressly prohibited, with Email Marketing plans as the sole exception. This prohibition applies regardless of recipient count, sending frequency or recipient consent and covers all sending methods, including SMTP, webmail, scripts, applications, CMS plugins and automations.
These messages may be sent exclusively through the sending infrastructure of an Email Marketing plan, subject to its specific terms, plan limits and the Acceptable Use Policy. Holding an Email Marketing plan does not permit using another plan or service for these messages.
Any service account found to have been used to send messages in breach of this prohibition will be suspended indefinitely, with no possibility of lifting the suspension, reactivating the account or restoring it to operation. Subsequently stopping the messages or removing the relevant software or recipient lists does not lift the suspension.
